Hello, I wanted to get a little feed back on this planned build I have for playing Starcraft II on High/Ultra graphical settings. Any feedback would be great, thank you for reading my potential build. Approximate Purchase Date: Within end of Summer or beginning of Fall 2011. Budget Range: Not really sure now. Definitely under $700, but minimum would probably be $500. System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mainly gaming (SC2 on High/Ultra settings), Usual web browsing, and minor uses of Photoshop. Parts Not Required: Have a eVGA nVidia 9800GTX+, Reusing OCZ 700W PSU. No need for other parts yet, but anything recommended would be great. Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com or any preferred reputable website. Country of Origin: United States. Parts Preferences: Preferably what is compatible with my current parts (9800GTX+ and OCZ 700W). I have been an Intel user all my life so I have a little biased towards them. Will to try AMD though, whatever is recommended. Overclocking: No. SLI or Crossfire: Slight Possibility (Most likely not). Monitor Resolution: 1280x1024 or Higher. Additional Comments: None, just would like to keep in budget range. Planning to get a Bitfenix Shinobi Case, not sure though. Currently looking at these parts: CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz Motherboard: Not sure yet. RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB DDR3 x2 Parts I already have: GPU: eVGA nVidia 9800 GTX+ PSU: OCZ 700W Also, what optical drive is recommended? Not really going to be using it to play CD media or BluRays. And no OS needed.
For 700 bucks you can do much better than an 555 and a 9800GTX. I was able to put together a sub-700 dollar built with a 955 and a 6850 with capacity to crossfire in the future, as well as an AM3+ mobo.

I wasn't sure if you could CrossFire 2 different cards. Also, is there anything else you could critique about the components I have?

I read somewhere about a new "Bulldozer" processor by AMD, any suggestions?
we won't know anything about it until it's released, in september or whenever it's been pushed back to this time

Check out the new am3+ boards, They will support bulldozer when it releases.
