Honestly, a better line would have been "Take the night off: Let us handle dinner tonight. <insert coupon/discount here>"
"let your wife take a day off from the kitchen" Seriously how did they not expect any backlash from this. Makes me think it's almost deliberate going by the stuff the article mentions.
I get the attempt but honestly do something just "Spouse's - Appreciate your significant other tonight - take them out with this discount!". Encompasses all regardless of anything, better PR. [editline]18th September 2017[/editline] Or hell simplify it! "Appreciate your significant other tonight with a discount on us!"
