This whole rear touch panel thing sounds like it would be really easy to trigger accidentally

I thought this was going to about MGS HD collection adding the functionality to touch characters' asses. Honestly it wouldn't be entirely out of place in the series.

we trade streamlined, easy to access controls for clunky "innovative" controls "pinch the back panel to switch view" "slash an enemy's throat with your knife by slamming your fist into the back touch panel" this is bullshit
Still want HD collection for PC damn it
Still want HD collection for PC damn it
This already exists for MGS2. They were making an MGS3 PC port a while back, but it was canceled for some reason.
If you have a disc version you can just emulate MGS2 and 3 at essentially the same options they used for the HD collection. Shit outta luck for Peace Walker, though.

MGS3 also benefits from totally redone foliage and enhanced shadows.

I don't see why this is bad, you are still getting a re-master for the newer systems as well as extra features, it's not like you couldn't slit peoples throats in MGS before. Give features to the people who want them, the people who don't can play without, this shouldn't be a problem.
Oh shit, gotta get MGS HD when I get paid. I completely forgot about that since I never use my 360.
I love that Kojima always tries something new and really utilizes the what the console has on offer. There are little things like the utilization of the analogue buttons in the MGS control layout and the bigger things like the upcoming "Transfarring" which does sound really sweet. Hero of the games industry.

There was zero mouse functionality and it was all keyboard controls that couldn't be reprogrammed. When I play MGS1 on pc I download a PSX emulator and play it, It was that bad.
