So, what moments in gaming do you remember most fondly? Mine has to be finishing I wanna be the guy on very hard. How about you guys?
Playing Goldeneye 64 on the N64 with Friends
Splitscreen was a blast with friends
Probably one of the best N64 Games ever
Unboxing my first Unusual Hat in TF2 (Blizzard El Jefe)
Finishing Metroid: Prime at 100% for the first time, and unlocking the bonus cutscene at the end [sp]where Dark Samus gets spawned from Prime's corpse[/sp]. Come to think of it, Metroid: Prime was the best game of my childhood.
First time starting up far cry 3
007 Nightfire on Equinox.
Fighting Drake in space while disarming nuclear missiles with this playing in the background was incredible.

Playing Age of Mythology on LAN with my dad back in 2002.
He had more ballistas than actual warriors.
Playing Metal Arms on the old Gamecube.
Shit was the greatest. That and Gmod's glory days.
One time i was playing opposing force back in the day and the server was empty save for some shitty bots
and this kid came on with the handle "superman" something or other and kept dying again and again to the bots when I wasn't around to kill him. he said he was gonna fuck me up and shit and I learned that he was like 9 years old. Anyway like 10 minutes of him getting his shit wrecked and he finally leaves
a minute or so later he comes back as a different name, like flash20 or something, something else superhero related, and he gets wrecked again
after a few minutes of this he finally types something in the chat
"Do you remember me, Crowbalt?"
"no"
"This is superman."
"ok"
"This is my TRUE FORM"
i fucking died
hl2 opening scene
[sp]The Second Battle of Hoover Dam[/sp] In Fallout New Vegas.
Holy shit [sp]after you complete the Voltaire quest.[/sp]
if im going for sentiment then I guess the first time i ever played majora's mask
I hadn't gotten a sense of wonder in a game quite like that moment to this day
If you haven't played garrysmod 12 then you probably won't understand any of this.
Me and my friends were sucking around on garrysmod. We would kill each other using SWEPS and whatnot. Since I was shit at computer FPSs, I used my talent of wiremod knowledge to kill my friends.
I wouldn't make cheap ass teleporting bombs, I would hide from location to location planting wiremod traps along the way (Best one was me creating an expression 2 gate that would play tool gun pasting sounds that would make it sound like I'm building something, my high as fuck friend would fucking storm in the building with a para and shoot up the place until he shot an explosive barrel that triggers a large explosion.)
So anyways I made a missile from scratch and they discovered where I am (without tripping the too obviously suspicious melon hanging from a rope sensor) they found me and I tried to prop kill them with it because I panicked. Since I didn't have prop protection they took the missile away from me like a parent taking away a cookie before dinner from a child and flung it into the air.
About 30 minutes later we forgot about the whole Cuban Missile Crisis and were at ceasefire. While we were all dicking around with watching YouTube a missile comes out of fucking nowhere and blasts our sorry asses to the skybox.
I fell out of my chair laughing.
The Lonesome Road DLC for Fallout New Vegas. Why? Played it for the first time on a friend's PC, and he had a drug mod installed, among other things. I ended up tripping on acid for the most of the DLC with 60's classic rock in the background. Best gaming experience.
The DLC wasn't that good, though, mainly because I was hoping for more urban exploration after I saw all these ruined skyscrapers and shit. Also Ulysses was an asshole with a real annoying slow manner of speaking, an action movie villain motivation (he tried to justify it with some pretty interesting philosophy, but in the end it still boiled down to "some guy doomed my town so I'm gonna BURN EVERYBODY") and the balls to take away my best robot buddy/mobile storage/ammo reload bench.
If I'm completely honest, I'd say Minecraft.
Me and a few friends used to make fucking ridiculous things, and it was probably the most fun, and most occupied I ever was in a video game.
Hours and hours of getting lost in atlantis on banjo tooie
the funniest thing that ever happened was probably when I was playing Saints row three on the insurance fraud mini game. we started it and like 5 seconds in some random van flew by and i got stuck in it and my body stretched everywhere and we immediately won because of how much money i got from it

What is better than banning someone? Embarrassing the shit out of them to the point they leave.
I do this on gmod servers when people are being total mingebags. I got a basic prop follower script from somewhere, put an annoying flashing red material on an 8x8x8 cube and put wire text screens saying "Cube of shame" on each face.
Anyway, my most memerable gaming experience would have to be half life 2. Before garry's mod was released i had to make do by using cheats to spawn in the npcs i want. I would get angry as fuck when i couldn't spawn striders, and i was always looking for new console commands to make my game more fun. Then garry's mod came out and i crapped myself and screamed like a little girl. However i do miss the laser dance swep.
Beating Metal Gear Solid 1, "The Best is Yet to Come" playing over the credits, but then the fucking mountain fades into the background of the credits and you're treated to a showcasing of Alaska. Fucking beautiful.
Runner up would be the last 75 minutes of Metal Gear Solid 2.
First time playing WoW with my own account.
Fallout 3.
Then Fallout: New Vegas.
playing Half Life deathmatch with my dad over LAN and chasing him down the ramp into the courtyard on crossfire with a flailing crowbar.

I played this recently again with a friend. It was fucking hilarious.
The controls and aiming is so awkward as fuck. We (split-screen deathmatch) ran into each other and must have both stayed there staring at each other for half an hour trying to fucking position the crosshair. Good times :v:
All those days of hunting for stars in Super Mario 64, getting stuck on 119 stars because I could not figure out where the last one was. Only last decade's first half did I finally get closure to that game by finding it, told my family of my success.
I have a few memorable games, such as:
Mechwarrior and sequels
Mechassault and 2
Robot Wars Extreme Destruction
Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2
Star Wars Republic Commando
Chu Chu Rocket and Quake 3.
Pikmin 1 and 2.
Mario Kart: Double Dash.
I don't care what anybody says about it's gimped drifting or whatever, it was a fucking blast when I was a kid. Great map design, too.

I spent WEEKS playing that, it's the best! And challenging on 150cc, I felt like such a pro beating the full cup.
The gamecube was my primetime of gaming, ever.
I was scared shitless by Metroid Prime 2.
Completing Metroid Prime 3
This one battle in Empires, we pushed the enemy team right back into their main base, that was more locked down than Alkatraz. It was surrounded in turrets and had about 3 layers of walls with engineers constantly repairing them from the inside, so we got some artillery and nuked them. There was so much smoke from all the artillery that several people crashed.
Playing zombie master on this trench warfare themed map with 25 other people
Playing Halo 3, quarter of the match my whole team was gone against 4 guys. I was 13 points behind with 20 - 7.
I went into full warrior mode and made super sneaky kills untill it was tied to 40-40 with 1 minute on the clock I hid ontop of a building where they wouldn't see me. I waited untill the last 10 seconds where I shot someone on the lower deck.
Little did I know, there was someone else infront of him with camo. I got a double kill so I won 40-42. They sent very hateful messages which made me laugh like a little school girl. Ah, good times.
2 weeks after my parents divorced I got a new stepbrother. We played most games alike and we had a game event and it was great!
And after we played things started to act weird and things happpened, so I lost my virginity.
No regret, best day of my life
