About a year and a half ago I ended up getting a pre-made computer. The PC itself is fine and it runs really great, my only problem is that the case is the loudest I've ever heard. There are 3 fans, front, back and top.
I don't know why but no matter what surface I put it on the thing always manages to make so much noise! There are a few things that I have checked, that the fans are running okay, they do, from what I remember even running demanding stuff on max it stays cool inside and the fans aren't overworked. Secondly that its not something to do with the rubber feet or the surface I'm putting it on. I've tried the PC on lots of different surfaces over the year.
No matter what I do there's always this low base hum that can sometimes get quite loud.
So, if anyone out there can tell me why this is happening and what I can do to fix it/what kind of new case I can get you would really be helping me out.

What about a Fractal Design "Define" series case?
Usually with PCs being loud I've found that it's either resonance (of case panels or fans), vibration or just turbulence of air being sucked directly through those fan grates that makes the brunt of the noise.
Putting rubber (or just mounting tape) dampers between the fan and the case panels seems to help a bit, and getting a fan controller and setting fans to a certain speeds also helps any resonant sounds a good amount. Otherwise, replacing fans with lower-speed ones or just plain-old dynamatting the case panels would probably work (the loudest case fan is typically the side because there is a lot of thin steel to vibrate along).
Better cases (Lian-Li, Fractal higher end) have dampers, foam, filters and heavier construction to absorb noise, but they suffer a little bit in terms of cooling capacity per $ as a result.

Also, usually to test which fan is making the most noise it works to unplug / replug them one by one to figure out which one is making the most noise. In my personal system (Fractal R3, which is quite quiet even with 5 fans installed) it's the power supply that makes the most noise when the computer is loaded so there's not much to help that except blow the dust out or get a higher-rated one, though.
Seconding define recommendation. R4 black pearl has just about everything you want. Good cable management, good sound dampening, lots of room, looks very nice, well built, etc.
Easily one of, if not the best, mid-range cases on the market at the moment.
