Is Firewatch a horror/thriller game? I know very little about it beyond the basics.

Seems like it, yeah. In the trailers and first 15 minute footage [sp]they argue about a slashed up tree trunk, main character saying there's no bears in the park[/sp] and the main character's tower is [sp]broken into, by the looks of it several times, as well as being trashed quite a bit one of them after a silhouette of a person is seen nearby[/sp], and some young girls [sp]you yell at who were firing fireworks and drinking in the park get kidnapped[/sp]. Aside from those details not much is known, could be a whole lot of things at this point although if none of those clues are red herrings it could narrow it quite a bit
If it is horror/thriller, I'm assuming it's more subtle than in other games. Firewatch feels like it's more on the "mystery" side of things.
Ooooh, those 15 mins of gameplay a while back were super interesting. I'm interested in this one!
This game looks like it's going to scratch the same itch that games like Wolf Among Us and Stanley Parable did, in being a very mysterious and compelling single player experience. Honestly, till February seems like a long wait.

Yeah what little I've seen of it I wouldn't go in expecting a HORROR game.
It looks more like a walking sim with thriller themes. I'm diggin' it.
