As the title says, since the last Steam update, Steam will not run. After clicking "log into another account" in settings, it just runs, sits in the processes and doesn't gain any memory.
I'm on XP, I've tried deleting everything but steam, I've reinstalled steam following the valve wiki's clean reinstallation page, everything. It just won't fucking run. It worked fine an hour ago.
come on, i really need help
anybody?
you're really impatient
usually on fp if a thread isn't answered in 8 hours it never will be, and considering all of my games are on steam, yeah, i am a bit impatient. i want to send a support ticket, but no matter how articulate i am with how i tried fixing it, they will just say "delete everything but steam exe and run it"

fuck you valve.

I fixed it for now. It seems Valve's latest update broke steam for a lot of XP SP3 users, and I used someones older steam installation, and it worked.
fuck. you. valve.

Support for XP is starting to drop due to it being very old, you should really consider windows 7
What the above said and the fact that SP3 broke quite a few things. So I would have stayed on Sp2.
