I'm trying the Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate. So far, It's running great on Windows 7 32-Bit.
Talk about IE9 Here.
I hope Pandora supports the deskband and jump list soon. More than it does now.
I love it. I even installed it on my work laptop, although every once in a while I get a nasty email from Desktop at our company telling me to remove it because it isn't company standard and tested to be compatible. I guess when they try to push Windows updates that update IE8 aswell, the update fails? It has made enough of a difference in just browsing our company sharepoints, they can get a little slow sometimes, and IE9 seems to solve the problems and make it faster.
The only problem I have is that it seems like ActiveX plugins such as DivX slow down the startup and cause the browser to freeze every once in a while. A reinstallation may or may not fix the problem... Not that I really care, they aren't something I use often and IE9 tells me what is fucking it over.
Overall, good stuff.
it's a great move up from IE8, and think i might start using it more often than other versions however, some thing that are if with it is the location of the tabs is radically different from most web browsers(when i last checked), which may cause some problems down the road. It also conflicted with some of my steam games, GTA to be precise, but i thnk that's more an issue with windows live. I do however love the simple design of it and i think it has the right to compete with the rest of the web brower giants.
I wish I could try it on Windows XP.

It doesn't work on XP.

So you've gone from shit posting in Fast Threads to PCHS? Why aren't you permabanned?
He will be soon.
He hasn't learnt anything from his previous bans and he isn't going to change after this ban. There is no reason to keep him here any longer.
About time!
:toot:
I don't really like the new IE.
Q: What does 64bit IE9 get faster JavaScript benchmark scores than IE8 but slower scores than 32bit IE9?
In IE9 there's one other major difference between the 32bit and 64bit versions of IE. IE9 includes a new script interpreter which is much faster than the script interpreter in IE8. However, 32bit IE9 also includes a Just In Time (JIT) script compiler which converts script into machine code before running it. There is no JIT compiler for 64bit IE. So, for benchmarks like SunSpider (and script-heavy sites) 32bit IE9 runs script up to 4 times as fast as 64bit IE9 (which itself runs script around 5x as fast as IE8). So, you could end up paying a significant speed penalty when using 64bit IE9 vs using the default 32bit version..
64-bit browsers still lagging behind :(
Here's a nice video about it: http://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-shows-off-year-of-internet-explorer-9-video
I'll jump off the Firefox bandwagon for a bit and try it out.
Surely it isn't good?
Reports, lads?

There's some UI elements I don't like, other than that it's an amazing browser. It's in with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc now. Let's just hope they keep it up and don't lag behind.
Yay, microsoft finally developing a browser befitting Windows 7.

They still have to work on that I suppose. Also says something about the Zune sales, even though it's one fucking good-looking piece of hardware.
