• Default Android email app can no longer sign into hotmail account after enabling two-step verificati

I noticed that Microsoft had a two step verification thing for their account system and I thought it'd be a good time to enable it. I did so, but now that I did, my phone's default mail app can't sign into the related hotmail account due to the two-step and I cannot find any way to let it in. This is frustrating because I don't feel like downloading Outlook for my damn phone when the default app used to work just fine. Is there a way to let it through or am I going to have to download their stupid app? I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 on Android 5.1.1.
Why wouldn't you use the Outlook app with an Outlook account? I really don't understand your logic behind this.
You'll need to generate an app password: https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage?mkt=en-US

I have limited space on my phone and it's not like I have expandable storage. (Thanks, Samsung!) So I'd rather not install any more apps unless I really really need to. I didn't read and I assumed that was for apps that -could- accept a security code. I am a fucking idiot. That worked. Thank you.
