Okay, OpenDNS is shitting up on me, Anybody know a good free DNS server i can use?

I've been having problems with open dns recently aswell. I just went back to the virgin media ones.

What would it take to run your own DNS server? Does it need to have a database with all the IPs for every web site?

I hate large monitors. Anything larger than 1680 x 1050 makes me rage.
also it's not all about size. Contrast ratio, pixel pitch, and response time are important too, and I've got those.

How do I use those? I just add them to my dns list and remove the OpenDNS ones?
