I have multiple files in folders, sub-folders etc. How can i replace them all wtih one single file, but retain the original names?
One way is slowly and dully replacing and renaming copies of the single file.
Any other ways?
Create an archive?
I'm confused as to what you're asking.

Try using BatchRenamer or something similar?

Ugh.
What i'm saying is that i have about 50 files. They are mp3/wav's and i want to replace them all with one other file but i don't want to change the name.
FILES FILE FILES FILES
One file.mp3
Replace FILES FILES FILES FILES with One file.mp3 but keep the name of FILES FILES FILES FILES.
Got it yet?
Replace and rename it smartass.

You don't make a shit of sense, don't be a dick if you want help btw.
I can tell you how to do it if you're tryint to rename a file with a common name (if you are trying to rename everything called 'song.mp3' for example), but if you want to rename EVERY FILE to the same name, it can't be done. Windows won't allow duplicate file names.
It doesn't work in subdirectories, either.
No. I have about 50 files.
Examples:
QRE.mp3
Sleeping Angel.mp3
etc.
All have different names and are different files.
Then i have DOOME1M1.mp3
I want DOOME1M1 to replace all other files but keep the original names.

Then you will have to manually create copies of DOOME1M1.mp3 and rename each of them to replace one file.
What, might one ask, would be the point of this?
But keep the original names? You want a single mp3 file to be there, while they are disguised as different files.
I don't think anyone would need that, beyond a practical joke.

No, just renaming every L4D song with doom music.
