Hey,
Recently in the last few days I have noticed sometimes my internet connection gets HORRIBLY slow. Usually, when I have no problems from the tests on [url]www.speedtest.net[/url] I get around 25ms ping and 8-10Mb/s download.
Without any explanation this will jump to 1500+ms pings and 0.3Mb/s download!
I am the only person using the internet at the moment apart from my roommate who is just on skype, neither of us are downloading anything at all.
What could be wrong? Do any of you know if there is a way I can some how see the network traffic for the entire house, maybe find if it is being caused by an application or something. Thanks

Oh yeah, and the few times it's happened, it will stay like that for a little while and then go right back to normal.

Fucking hell, at the moment it keeps on switching between laggy as FUCK for a few minutes and then perfectly fine for a few.
Is QoS enabled on the router? This was my problem with my router until I turned it off.
What does QoS stand for?
