I've had performance issues with games like terraria and space engineers but not portal 2 or other games. I've also tried forcing the games to use the nvidia card but they still had the same issues. I've also re-installed all my graphics drivers and disabled the integrated graphics from the device manager but strange things happened when I did the computer was sluggish when I right clicked it took over a minute to bring up the drop down menu and the nvidia control panel wasn't available nor was nvidia geforce experience there. also my max resolution dropped from 1920X1080 to 1280X1024 and I tried to run my games but I got this error from terraria. If you have a laptop with dual GPUs, you need to install the drivers provided by the Dell website for your laptop model. The switcharoo logic that switches between GPUs is proprietary and mainstream graphics drivers (from nvidia.com) won't work.

You need to completely uninstall any current video drivers you have and use the drivers provided by Dell.
