I hoped I'd never had to make one of these, but I just don't have the energy or time to get familiar with the structure of these exact forums right now, so I'm doing it... posting a Hello thread.
Technically this is a question though, which is why I posted it in fast threads like the description prompted me to.
So, in which part of the forums do people discuss stuff they've built? Or is this the wrong forum for that (do you only do the more experienced stuff - addons and the sort?)
Also, what would you recommend a noob would start out with in Garry's mod? I've made a simple plane and a robotic arm that failed hard, but that still makes me pretty much a rookie.
I might not respond immediately here, since I'll be away for more than a week in 3 hours... but if this really is for fast threads, hopefully there'll be a reply or two by then.

as for "what I fancy", the problem is that I fancy complex stuff and little that would be at all cool if done simply.
There's no use hiding it... I want to make a mech... like prolly everyone on these forums, but it's hopelessly too complicated to make with my skills right now.
anything really that you think could be interesting and that a noob could have any chance at making, like whatever you started with.
EDIT: where to find tutorials? I've found some on youtube, but searches like "arm", "mech" and such, even with Gmod also in the search tend to find other things too, plus the search is odd in youtube anyways. Is there a child board for tutorials?
