Well I got this monitor just 10 minutes ago in the mail. This is my first monitor over the resolution of 1366x765 (I think 765 - who gives a fuck right?). It is fucking awesome. But to the question. Would changing the refresh rate make any difference? I have an XFX 4890. Higher/lower? catalyst control center goes from 57 hertz to 75
While the catalyst control center might display different hertz options, its incredibly likely that your monitor can only draw so quickly. Try googling the product information, it should be '60 hz' or something.
Right from the product page on newegg: Horizontal Refresh Rate 30 ~ 83 KHz Vertical Refresh Rate 50 ~ 75 Hz Play with the refresh rate and see if it makes a noticeable difference for you. I would think you would want it as high as your monitor can go.
60
60, you have a strong possibility of breaking it going over whatever the maximum in Windows is or the recommended.
1000000 THz
A setting that doesn't hurt your eyes.
1000000 THz
I see your 1000000 THz and raise you 1000000 PHz
Highest one possible, and that's only a 720p monitor if it only goes to that resolution. [editline]06:41PM[/editline] I totally misread that - nevermind. Anyways, higher = better, because more frames are being drawn on the monitor.

1000000 Yiggahertz?
1000000 Yiggahertz?
yottabyte
yottabyte
You mean yottahertz?
My CRT is going at 85Hz atm.
my CRT is running 120Hz @ 1920x1440, you are clearly homosexual
Oh god, an HD CRT? Gimme!
yeah they're all over the place. pretty much anything over 18 inches can do at least 1600x1200, and with the right drivers you can send nearly any CRT way beyond that.

Lol i remember when i had CRTs and one day suddenly the table crashed down because the weight was to heavy.
my old 1024x768 CRT burst into flames a few months ago while I was using it. that was pretty odd.
the monitors we had a very big resolution the one was an 19 inch and the other one was an 23 inch with usb inputs.
I'll give you my burnt up CRT from above post
what's the brand/model of the 120Hz CRT
what's the brand/model of the 120Hz CRT
It's an old Chuntex PL9. Good luck finding any information on it, I've tried.
wow they make 160Hz monitors as well, that's insane
and it only works with certain drivers. Nvidia's proprietary Linux drivers, often only works with 195.
I would probably get motion sick from the 160Hz ones. Where can you buy these?
60hz is pretty average, and it's not bad at all. :eng101:
