Computer shows black screen while booting, not showing windows sign

When I turned on my computer, I noticed that there was a black screen, and doesn't show the Windows logo. It just shows a blank black screen, and the keyboard does not work as well. I tried disconnecting my battery and power cord, then pressing the power button for 60 seconds, and it didn't work. What could be the problem?

3GB RAM
ATI Radeon 3100

oh i had this before. go to registry editor and go to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE, SOFTWARE,Microsoft,Windows NT, Currentversion, Winlogon and double click Shell and type in Explorer.exe

the whole regedit, It doesn't even go to the windows screen. The fan also turns off after a few seconds when I turn on the computer and it doesn't boot up.

I think it is the motherboard, that and maybe the fan as well. Which means, well, my comp is fried/screwed(laptop).
