Several different major networks have the equivalent of #bookz. Filled with bots that hand out ebooks in every format under the sun.

IRC's awesome. XDCC is the icing on the cake.
Better than BitTorrent for watching Big Buck Bunny in 1080p since it's sequential downloading so you can start the download and instantly open up VLC/a player of your choice and start watching your indie films.
