OK, Christmas and Birthdays have come and gone and I finally have enough money to build a decent PC. It will be used for light to moderate gaming (maxing TF2 at 1920*1080 would be great), and possibly some very light AutoCad work.
I already have:
-Monitor (1920*1080 21.5")
-Heatsink (Coolermaster Hyper 212+, so an OEM Processor is feasible)
-OS
-Keyboard, mouse, speakers etc....
The budget is £485, but if £10 more gets a much better build, then, it's probably justified.
Lastly, a case with air filters (like http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168616) is a must, as I have carpets in my room and it gets really dusty.
Ebuyer is my preferred choice of seller.

take off scansure and it's £480 with delivery, you could see if it's cheaper on ebuyer
a 1GB 460 would be better for that res but it's another £30
Get the HD 6850 instead of the 768MB GTX 460.
It has 1GB VRAM, which helps at higher resolutions, like 1080p.
It's only another $10-20 (I can't do the euro sign).

It is Great British Pounds/Gold Sterling. Can you not press shift+3 and get the £ symbol?

It is worth getting a 1GB 460.
the only 6850 that's significantly cheaper than a 1GB 460 is out of stock and has "item currently awaiting an ETA", which translates roughly to "will not be in stock until you've already bought an alternative"

Thanks for that, looks great, and the 768 MB graphics card won't be a problem, anything will be better than this piece of shit laptop, 8400m GS is atrocious.

OK, I made the same build on ebuyer, and that came to £489.75, identical save for a different motherboard http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172846, this doesn't appear to have SLI, but I'm not really interested in that, and it will work fine.
is that price with the free delivery? if so you might as well buy it on scan and get next day delivery
Yeah with free delivery, anyway it's been bought, mods can lock this.
