Simcity is better at tackling corruption than most governments
Simcity is better at tackling corruption than most governments
But it's definitely worse at allocating land.
now to fix all the other lying advisors. my entire city is residential right now shut the fuck up.
does anyone honestly care about this game anymore?
does anyone honestly care about this game anymore?
Maxis do, so it seems.
If SimCity 5 would have been good, EA shouldn't be rushing the game out to make investors STFU. Thanks for the bullshit, John Riccitiello!
Maxis do, so it seems.
At least it shows they care enough about what they made to try and fix the problems it has
does anyone honestly care about this game anymore?
it sold a million copies so probably
Years ago i always had in mind that "in the future" we would have a Sim City where players could choose between regular simcity 3000'ish gameplay and super detailed mode where you could zoom in so close that you can like choose what style the streets are going to be and that you can make multiple cities and smaller villages (without loading screens or such.)
You can't cut back on bugs! You'll regret this!

I think he means Sim City 3000 (or 2000 or 4 etc) gameplay that let you zoom in to SimCity gameplay. The best of both worlds is what I think he means. [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] SimCity (the new one) could have done this well if the city plots weren't hilariously tiny and the regions were designed better.
I'm going to go against the grain a little here and say I absolutely loved Simcity. Certainly it's not perfect, it has it's flaws and exploits, but by no means is it a bad game. If it didn't make my laptop overheat I'd play it more often.
Every SimCity game has been chalk full of bugs, but it seems with SimCity 5 they broke the chalk up into powder during development and snorted it like cocaine.
New: Trading control. Added feature to give players more control over their utilities. Players can now choose whether or not to keep their power, water, or sewage local. This setting can be found on the information panel accessible by clicking on the power plant, water tower, or sewage pipe or plant. Sharing with the region is on by default.
So previously the game would just sell your stuff to neighbous automatically? This really shouldnt be called a feature, it should be a bugfix
So previously the game would just sell your stuff to neighbous automatically? This really shouldnt be called a feature, it should be a bugfix
I don't even understand why that is an issue to begin with. There is absolutely no real time communication between cities, if a city produces X number of MW it will offer X MW to all cities it is connected to, even if a neighbouring city consumes more power than that, it doesn't affect the original city, nor neighbours.
So previously the game would just sell your stuff to neighbous automatically? This really shouldnt be called a feature, it should be a bugfix
no. other players can buy resources from you without your permission, now you can stop that
does anyone honestly care about this game anymore?
Not anymore and I dropped 40 quid on it.
Off course they care, they need to make money on dlc's that are planned..
I put the game down until they increase city size.
does anyone honestly care about this game anymore?
I play it when I have time to kill. I find it quite fun actually, not as good as Sim city 4, but considering I paid $30 for it, I'm not complaining.
I put the game down until they increase city size.
Or you can just never go back to this awful game, and instead enjoy SimCity 4 or the game on SNES EDIT: Anyone who dumbs me can go screw themselves, because they don't understand why I'm suggesting this
The only update that'll matter to me is the one where they jack up the city sizes for 10$
