best way to update to 3.0 then JB?

I'm at 2.2.1 JB on my ipod touch, whats the fastest/easiest way to update to 3.0 jailbroken? Can I jump straight to a jailbroken 3.0 or do I have to go to stock 3.0 then JB 3.0?

Update to 3.0, then use redsn0w to jailbreak.
Mods, tell me if this is warez, but use THE IPOD TOUCH 3.0 FILE from here in redsn0w (2g or 1g, dependent on your iPod touch model.) Also, MAKE SURE YOU SELECT iPOD NOT IPHONE.:
