I have been using my iPod's earbuds on my computer for the past few years, and they have been the most comfortable earbuds I have ever used, and my ears never get achy.
Recently I lost those earbuds, and I am not gonna go out and sped $150 on a new iPod just to get the earbuds (who would?)
Any suggestions on what to get that would replace these earbuds?
I'm looking for something reasonable in price. No budget really, just something practical for the price (aka don't give me something for $40)
You thought the earbuds were comfortable? Wow.
I don't quite understand what "don't give me something for $40" means - do you want it to cost less or more? I'm going to assume less.

Are great for the money if you want in ear ones, http://www.amazon.com/Koss-KSC75-Portable-Stereophone-Headphones/dp/B0006B486K/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1300119532&sr=1-1 are also amazing for your money, but are clip on. If you're not wanting something portable http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD201-Lightweight-Over-Ear-Headphones/dp/B0007XJSQC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1300119599&sr=1-1 , http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-202-MK-Professional/dp/B003LPTAYI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1300119616&sr=1-1 , or http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD203-DJ-Style-Lightweight-Headphones/dp/B003LRN53I/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1300119616&sr=1-4 .
Oh right, the title says earbuds specifically. If you really want EARBUDS and not IEM type things, I don't really know, I guess anything from Sennheiser or another good brand would do, but if you want something in ear, go with the JVC Marshmallow.
I use some Skullcandy in-ear ones. Uber comfortable, fantastic sound and bass, and they cost me £18 from HMV. Can't go wrong.

Don't in-ear ones hurt after let's say being in your ears for 8 hours straight?
[editline]14th March 2011[/editline]
Also, I think that maybe my ears are just different so the Apple earbuds are comfy for me.
Personally, I think earbuds are uncomfortable after 8 seconds straight, in ear headphones don't really hurt me, though. If you're looking to use these on your PC for long periods of time, you might as well get a full sized headphone.

No those look weird on me. I use earbuds a lot on Skype video chat.

Looks > practicality

They're durable, sound great and have a lot of different ear pieces so you're likely to find a pair you like.
I just want something like these:

I got these about two years ago:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E6G9RI
They are still going strong. Most earbuds I've had, had died on me in some way within a year but these haven't. The sound is pretty great too, especially for the price ($30)
In-ear ones feel much more comfortable than you think, I can hardly feel them most of the time and the sound quality is much better than simple earbuds.
Since your budget is a bit higher I'd suggest getting some higher-end Sennheiser earbuds, as they probably have even better comfort and quality levels. The ones I linked to are "older" than recent models, but still great and cheaper.

Well if you adamant on getting basic ones like that then just buy them. You can get iPod earbuds for about $30
What do you think of behind the neck headphones? If you're stuck on earbuds, you might as well purchase the same apple pair and be happy with them, or whatever you see at your local store. I don't think there's any amazingly great value earbuds out there.

Nah, I'm not a fan of those. How much do Apple earbuds cost by themselves?
These? But I'm going to be entirely frank about this. Don't get those. Get headphones and get over looking a bit funny on camera. It's highly unlikely anyone will give a shit. I'd recommed the fata1ty headset by creative for a pretty good starter level.
These are pretty nice, I have a pair myself, although I'm not sure whether others think it's worth $24, since I bought them for a much cheaper price

But he wants earbuds, which are impossible to recommend to anyone.
then I have a question for OP
Have you ever tried in-ear headphones? Because in my opinion in-ear earphones generally sound better and are more comfortable, compared to something like standard iPod earbuds
JVC Gummies are about the same as iPod earbuds, and should be less than $10 in any store. Cheaper if you get them online.

JVC Gumy Ear buds. At most stores they are 10 bucks or less and last for months.
Check the ATTN buying Headphones thread, they should have a lot of info on this.

:v: Joke?
I've got some earbuds, you got any unusuals?
I'll take a burning flames one if you have any :v:
:v: Joke?
I've went through about 4-5 pairs of those. Very comfortable and good quality, but the way I abused them (and my ears overproducing ear wax causing the buds to get clogged up) They lasted about 2 months under such heavy abuse.
I'd still recommend them.
You seem to be a bit fashion conscious on headphones for some reason I have gigantic headphones that look like car speakers on the side of my head for home use. But for portable use, like my mp3 player, I use these. The Website says out of stock, but every radioshack that I've been to has plenty of these. They have really good sound, and are quite well priced too. I've never had them even crackle on me from a bad wire.

I wore them for 14 hours straight during my school trip, when I took them out I didn't notice any change.
They are ultra comfortable and the sound quality is absurdly good. You can also get the normal version without the bass boost.

There was a booth of these at PAX East.
They basically make a mold of your ear.
It sounded weird but it might be cool.
If you ever decide to switch away from the ipod buds to canal ones, look up JVC marshmallows. They're incredibly good for the price and the foam thing molds to your ear which seals it up and isolates sounds nicely.
