• Upgrade my GTX570 Now?

Hey everyone, I've had a Nvidia GTX570 nothing fancy put on it. I mean I'm not the one to play fancy games, I usually just stick around Garrysmod, but once in a while I like to boost my settings on Fallout 3 or something. I know the 700 series are already out and it makes me feel outdated. Should I wait it out to the 900, or 1000 series?
If you think you need to upgrade, go for it. The 800 series will be a brand new architecture, and it probably won't come out for another 1.5 to 2 years or so since the 700 series just came out.
I'm still on a GTX 460 and can play pretty much anything fine. Upgrade if you think you should upgrade.
I haven't actually kept up with Nvidia cards since I got my 580, I thought they were sticking with 600 series for a while, then I came back and hear news of 700 and 800 series, caught me by surprise that they had done all those already.
I'd only upgrade when your PC struggles to run the games you play. That 570 should last you a while longer.
Pepper;41212206']I'd only upgrade when your PC struggles to run the games you play. That 570 should last you a while longer.
I wholeheartedly agree with this, I was using a 9800 GT for the longest time before it finally needed to be replaced. Which was at Christmas when I had the dosh for a 670, I played BF3 and anything else on it and pushed that card beyond it's limits.
My 570 still runs games being released today really nicely. I will more than likely upgrade for the 800 series.
Yeah Id wait one more series then upgrade. I like my 570 and its not giving my any performance issues so its here to stay until I have some money for an AMD card (I wanna do some Bitcoin mining)
So i'm facing a similar decision, i have a 560 ti, and i might want to upgrade to a 770, or even a 780 in the future, about towards august/september. would it be worth the upgrade? i'm somewhat disappointed with the performance of the 560ti.
You'd get a big performance increase but I'd still wait until the next gen of nvidia/ati cards. Unless you're playing the most demanding games at super high resolutions, in which case the wait might be unbearable
