• Thinking of recording games; what's a good, free video recorder?
    8 replies, posted
So Streets of Rage Remake was released yesterday and, after watching some Youtube, I gained the immense urge to try to record some gameplay or even playthroughs from it, along with other games. I messed with Camtasia before, but the 30-day limit hit and I dumped that. Can anyone recommend a decent recording program that's free? Frame rate impact isn't a major concern unless, well, the impact is major. I also hope to record sound, which i'm not very knowledgeable in doing...

Fraps Livestream
Fraps is shit for recording if you don't pay for the full version. I suggest Wegame, it supports a large variety of games, and if you don't want to put your videos on their website, you can go to the 'My wegame videos' folder and extract the video file.
Fraps
Who would ever use the free version of Fraps?

The steam recorder should be out soon, just wait for it.
