why would FP make cars skin able if there is littlery no use for them its a wase of time

Why cars and not horses, seriously though, in modded servers the cars are always so hard to navigate, because the terrain just isn't good for it :c

Cars are for roads or reasonably straight areas, just the usual fast forward to next loot area versus cost and obviousness Just not for going up mountains (tried that, Holly nightmare!) Since they seem to be in the pipe, why not paint and skins!? Maybe even make boars or cacti not hurt you when you happen to drive them at night...

Those cars are placeholder models no point in adding a skin to it, based on old devblogs helk wants to have a sort of modular system for cars.

ah good point. I mean I did read about modular cars, but was hoping to at least get these "sedans" for a start

Excavators are already in the game. I've discovered cranes, too, so we'll need skins. Ah and for the horses you can ride, even if we are already there. Skins are very important for a game, I only play for the skins. I hate that filthy skin crap, that's why I deactivated them all.

I was just pointing out that cars are in the game.. But if you want to get technical. Skins are in the game to add verity. It does nothing but let you customize for yourself. If you don't like it then play a game that doesn't have skinable objects. Cars will eventually be usable for everyone. And if an admin spawns them in. Without a plugin. You can drive them. No use complaining about "it will ruin the game" bc it is already there.

That is just a place holder. that's not what will be in the actual game, Same goes for the boat I suspect. currently all they're doing is working on the physics. I suspect that the complete boats will be modular ike the modular vehicle concept cars are.
