Hey there. I was just wondering if my computer was running too hot. Here are my temperatures:

Are those idle temps? I guess so.

Idle temps don't really matter.
How the hell did you get -54 on the TMPIN0?
And yea, the temps are quite decent, not sure if the 4870 should run that high tho.
the GPU is a bit hot, might want to check if the heatsink is dusty
I'd love to know what you're using to get that TMPIN0 though, you might want to consider moving to a country that isn't covered in ice
I don't know why the TMPIN0 is so low.
it's just a messed up sensor, pretty common
[editline]06:25PM[/editline]
same with TMPIN1
The GPU can go up to 90c and be fine. 67c is really good. Try to get the CPU down a bit though.

lolwut?
that's 67c on idle. not so good
-shrug-
My GPU idles at 54c and maxes at 61.
Both Temps are fine for idle. Post load if you want. If not /thread.
Don't worry about your ATi Radeon HD4870.
ATi's 4 series is notorious for running extremely hot. Many people were idling in the 70s before the manual fan control patch came out for CCC.
The card is safe and acting normal.

67c for a 4870 isn't 'really good'. It's certainly nothing to worry about, but my 4890 runs like 56c idle and like max 70c on load.
Your cpu temps are ok.
Post temperatures on load this time, idle doesn't matter a lot.

Yeah but what are your fan settings? And when did you buy it? After they noticed the heat problems, a lot of companies put aftermarket cooler on them. Those temps are perfectly normal.
Right here are my temperatures on load (if running TF2 on max graphics for a while is counted as load):

Nothing to worry about at all, if you want to be sure run a CPU and GPU stress test, as long as you don't exceed the 85C you'll be fine.
I have a E8400 and i have idle on 41C so you are ok op.
And my 4850 is idle on 40C
Get your CPU down a bit though..over 50c for a CPU generally makes me uneasy...let alone nearing 60c.

The 4870 is always hot, stock.

Fuck that shit. I let my CPU hit 101c under load for a month before I decided to put my heatsink in all the way.

60 is fine

Moderkort is motherboard
How's mine? Isn't the CPU a bit too much?

If during load those are excellent, if on idle post the load temps.

Powercolor HD4890 I have, I've bought it.. mm.. don't know actually. I believe it was in January (this year of course!)
I haven't touched any fan settings or enabled overdrive at all. The fan apparently rotates at 33% (idle 54c) if that matters.

you're paranoid if you start worrying at 50c. Most cpus could easily run at 80c.

Your temperatures are perfectly normal.
What's your CPU anyway?
above post is true though, if this isn't load temp, then take the pics again during load.
4870's are ridiculously hot

This is from a few months ago, the current temp was with 100% fans and the max was normal idle. It's currently idling at 77C.
