DDR2 Ram has become extremely cheap recently, about 30% cheaper than DDR3 ram, But DDR3 has better performance and more support for things, should I go far a DDR3 ram setup? Should I spend the extra money?
DDR3 is much faster, so yes, IMHO
There isn't that much of a performance increase with getting faster RAM. Go with what's cheaper.
I built a new computer for myself a few weeks ago, used DDR2 because it got cheap as fuck suddenly
DDR2 is still good and really cheap, if your trying to save a lot, go with DDR2, the difference between DDR2 and DDR3 is not large.
