I'm looking to build a very low-power PC, and then upgrade it over time. I got a moderately powerful pre-built from Dell, but it's upgradability is horrible. Here are the parts I've selected, and I would just like to know if there would be any problems with putting it together. Thank you.
if you buy that computer you're not going to be upgrading anything on it I don't recommend it

I'd also recommend getting a PSU of a better brand. You don't need to spend too much more at all. Here's an Antec one, just make sure it has all the cables you need.
Why is that?
To put it simply, trying to upgrade something on that computer above will require you to upgrade other parts along with it to keep it relatively balanced
To put it simply, trying to upgrade something on that computer above will require you to upgrade other parts along with it to keep it relatively balanced
What would you suggest I spend some extra money on (on the initial purchase) to ensure I can upgrade it later?
Well, since you have a decent, working computer already I say stick with it until you can come up with ~$600 but if you want some tips on your build above, I say get a better GPU, PSU, Case, Motherboard, and CPU, because to be honest they're all lacking, even for gaming at the low settings
I see nothing wrong with the motherboard if he's going to be using a single-(video)card setup. Also the case doesn't affect performance so it is entirely up to him whether he wants it or not.
