I finally have enough money and I want to buy a pre-built computer. I'm looking at the Gamer Scorpius 8000 for $699. I want to know what parts to interchange to get the best deal, I'm pretty new to this "pc building" thing.

Just because your friend bought a prebuilt doesn't mean you should. You can easily save yourself a bit of money if you build it yourself.

It's possible to build a good gaming pc for $600+OS, but you don't hit great until around $800-$900.
I do have enough money for an 800, but I don't want it to screw up.

If you have a Bestbuy or local computer store like Fry's Marketplace/Microcenter by your house then go check them out. I've given up recommending keyboards/mice because everyone is different in what they like.

You will get better parts for the same budget if you build yourself instead of buying.

It's all a matter of personal preference at the end of the day.
Not even talking about looks, there's absolutely no cable management in the 300 and it's outdated
