I'm gonna have no expectations, hopefully I won't be let down.
Inquisition is an interesting name. Nobody would've expected it.

"Why did he say that, it seems like it fits in dragon ages lore- ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Not my finest moment.
That would be nice, but I think their priority should be in reusing more than 6 maps for the entire game.
and get me some damn nice varying armor
Hopefully they make the choices something more than "good" and "bad" choices. After playing the Witcher 2, Bioware's writing in Dragon Age and Mass Effect feels really poor.
Let's have look down the list here...
Fixing the gulf between dialogue options and what the character actually says: Sounds like a good idea. I remember one moment in Dragon Age 2 when my actions led to the cornering of several Mages by the Templars, and in my stance of being a Mage and a sympathiser of Mages, I selected the red option, thinking that it would kick off a fight between my party and the Templars, but what it really did was have Hawke suggest that the Templars execute them, which is not what I intended at all. So a bit more clarity this time around should be a positive development.
Stats and companions affecting the outcome of conversations: Didn't we already have this to begin with? If I remember correctly, companions being an active factor was a thing in DA2 convos, though I might be remembering wrong. Also, stats having an effect seems like a sensible thing, since wasn't there a "social skill" in Origins that affected your special dialogue options like Bluffing, Bribing, Intimidating, etc?
More depth than binary choices: Thank the Maker for that. I'm hoping this means a removal of the whole Paragade schpiel that's hung over gaming recently.
I'll have to see the game in action before I consider it, though, and even then I might just watch a Let's Play of it.
Also bring back the multiple races thing; I don't care if the Inquisition is potentially racist, I want more choice in the origin stories, like in addition to the Human, Elf and Dwarf, maybe include a Qunari option for good measure.
Also also, they'd better have a better ending than whatever space voodoo came from it's sister franchise.
Is Dragon Age 2 worth playing through?
I've played only a little bit and was let down by the changes from Origins (which is one of my favorite RPGs out there), but I didn't play long enough to really get into it. Does it have any real redeeming factors? And please only respond if you have a point to make, not just BIOWUR IS AWFLU BECAUSE EA ND TOTRNATIC

youve pretty much seen the only good parts of dragon age 2 then. the ui, and how you go about fighting and controlling your characters in battle are vastly improved from dragon age 1. but when you strip it down to the story and writing, its all bad and continues to roll down hill. there's an ending choice that you have to make that supposedly changes everything... only to have everything funnel into the same ending. every character in the end will make the same choices no matter what, and you can still end up fighting a force that you allied with.
when you beat the game you may end up really confused about whats going on, or what the characters motivations are. chances are you wont be satisfied with it.
all areas that are not the town hub or overworld are also copied and pasted everywhere. this makes sidequests pretty much snoresville.

Bioware games have had this since at least Knights of the Old Republic, so I'm in agreement where I don't know what the big push here is.
Yep; there were certainly issues in that game, though there were certainly a few combat improvements, like the improved staff attacks. Instead of the dull ...zap...zap...zap... of the DA:O staffs, we get the rapid BOOWHAP!BOOWHAP!BOOWHAP! of DA2's staffs; in general the combat seems to have been sped up.
That said however, I recall there was a bit of arena-based monster-boxing, with enemies hiding in the wings only to pop out once the previous wave is almost dead. Not the best battle mechanic I will say.
To be honest, I could go on and on about the problems Dragon Age 2 had in comparison to Origins, but I won't, since I have better things to do with my time, like watch Stuart Ashens talk about handheld games consoles and eat Jaffa Cakes and play System Shock 2 until midnight.

Maybe they're doing it differently this time, and want to make something altered seem like it's a brand new thing?
Need more sex scenes
Personally I'm excited for it. I liked 1 and 2. 1 was obviously better but I still liked 2.
" BioWare also hopes to make this game offer more exploration and environmental diversity, with land types like desert, swamps, mountains ruins, and winterscapes."
Uh didn't we already have that in Dragon Age: Origins? I guess Deserts are new so that's an improvement. I think it's kind of sad that one of the standout points is that there is going to be areas.
Keep the dialogue wheel!
Keep the dialogue wheel!
Yeah! Let's make Mass Effect: Medieval edition again!
Dragon Age 1's dialog system was perfect. I still have no idea why they felt the need to bring in that friggen color wheel. I sorely wish that they'd just return to the "blank slate" character with multiple race options and no voice actor, because the predefined you are THIS character approach they took with the second game made it a lot harder to feel personally invested.

Yes. Let's rape it all over again!
Your choices will also play a bigger role in influencing the events of the game.
Now where have I heard that before...
