So I tried both google chrome and Iron, both of them eat 50 or more % of my cpu all the time. And if I go to deviantart, it maxes out at 99% which makes my pc almost freeze up. Firefox runs just fine and fast, no problems.

It is more than enough for such browser.
I tried to restart and then boot only chrome, still eats tons of cpu.
Are you running Stable or Nightly?
Stable ofcourse. I never use nightly/betas if there is stable available.
Well try one and see if it helps.
Try to see if something else is causing a rise in your CPU usage. I just had Opera, Firefox and Chrome open and I CPU usage barely went above 5%.

No, it's chrome that's causing it.

I have opera, it runs fine too, and so I also have safari and it runs fine too. It's just chrome, but whatever, I wouldn't use it for anything more than just to test website compatibility anyway.
