Question about CS:S - General

Okay, I dont have CS:S so I have many questions, this is about GMod. 1st question: If I take a replacement pack and extract it in my cstrike folder, it will work? It's to get rid of the red flashing error. If it works, is it legal? Can I get VAC banned for replacing a model? (BTW: I'm new to Gmod.)

I dont think that will work? You have to buy CS:S for you to get models. That or you have to remake them somehow or find them and steal them

When GMod searches for the models it'll find those and use those as the models. I'm not sure it'd work if you put it in your cstrike folder however, try putting the models into the garrysmod/garrysmod/models folder. Also, make sure the model files and materials both go to the original file paths specified. Also, it's legal. You're not using the copyrighted models from valve. And no, you can't get VAC banned for doing something offline.
