Hi
I just installed windows 7 64-bit (I had the 32-bit version before) and during the install it asked if I wanted format the harddisk, and I answerd yes as that was half of the reason why I re-installed.
So now it's finished with the install, and all my old programs are gone but it seems i've still got my drivers fx. I were able to go online from the moment it started, and evrything works just fine.
So my quistion here is: did it actually format or not? (15GB in my harddisk is used) or what happend?
Thanks in advance
Well obviously.. If your old programs/files are not longer there, then yes, your hard drive has been reformatted.

Check your HDD under program files and see if you have the files from your previous install still there.
7 comes with basic drivers for internet and things like that by default.
Windows 7 will work fine for web browsing and stuff if you don't install drivers
Thanks for your aswers and fast response!

Did you get the upgrade version?
Windows 7 has great support for a lot of hardware, my computer worked almost entirely fine without installing drivers right after finishing installing it.

You can still do a clean install with the upgrade version.

I know, but it's called custom install.
