I have a macbook pro running windows 7 64 bit... and I have a serious overheating problem. I started up a game a second ago because I think that my GPU is failing.. and read the temperature with speedfan. My GPU was 95 fucking degrees Celsius and the fan hadn't even kicked in yet. I have no idea what the problem is but I want this to be fixed before serious damage is dun (if it hasn't been done already) Please help me. Has damage been done? Textures in games are fucking up and I'm having related problems with lots of things recently, and I have no idea why. [editline]04:50AM[/editline] I think my fans may actually be broken because I'm not hearing anything.
Specs?
2.4 GHZ Intel Duo core processor NVIDIA 9600M GT video board 4GB of RAM Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS DirectX 11 [editline]04:56AM[/editline] I'm really concerned, my fans are doing weird shit. They just turned on and I'm at 77C right now. My GPU was fucking 95C and they weren't on... :\ [editline]04:58AM[/editline] Also, speedfan isn't making my fans turn on for some reason. They are doing whatever
Go into BIOS, there should be an option to adjust your fan settings. Make it so they're always at 100%. [editline]05:00AM[/editline] Actually, your BIOS might be locked. Apple is funny that way.

Apple is funny that way.
How would I go about trying to do this? [editline]05:06AM[/editline] I think apple has blocked access of speedfan to change shit. Because my computer was running at a hot 85C and speedfan was supposed to start up my fans. But of course it didn't.
You aren't going to find a way into the BIOS because Apple machines don't have them. They use something called Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) which is very different. I suggest going to an Apple forum and asking this question because most people here don't have Macs.
Fixxedd.. although I'm positive that my computer has SOME sort of problems. My fans have never been on in windows. Ever. Running up to temps of 95C probably took a toll on my likely now-fried GPU
Also, you aren't using DX 11. They haven't even released cards for it.
Also, you aren't using DX 11. They haven't even released cards for it.
I am pretty sure DX11 is backwards compatable with DX10 cards.
Also, you aren't using DX 11. They haven't even released cards for it.
DX10 card are Dx11 capable
DX10 card are Dx11 capable
Wait... Really? Then what is the point in developing dx 11 cards? Is it just software based?
Wait... Really? Then what is the point in developing dx 11 cards? Is it just software based?
Combination of Hardware and Software.
Wait... Really? Then what is the point in developing dx 11 cards? Is it just software based?
they just won't give all the features of DX11
