Overrated Music Artists - General

These are all consider "overrated" by a recent survey I did. I'm not sure why. I found all of these to be great artists, but I guess you can't please everybody. Fucking teens... AC/DC has been getting away with lyrics that are almost as shitty as some mainstream rap lyrics, and are similar, even though a lot of fans insult rap lyrics. Their songs are insanely easy to play, and I say that having picked up a guitar only 15 times throughout the course of my life. I also don't really like the screechy high-pitched squealing singing style.

All of these artists are great in their own way. I vote The Beatles because everyone seems to talk about them being great but I can't find any taste for them in me. I respect what they did for music and all but I'm not a fan.

I gave Black Sabbath a listen, and they really weren't that great. I might give it another go, though.

AC/DC because for some reason everyone near me has decided they like them when in reality they're not really very good, it annoys me more because the only songs they would be able to name if asked would be back in black because of iron man 2.

If I were a gambling man I would plant some good money down on the fact that a good portion of people don't like them for their music, but because of the legacy they have left behind.

Why are you picking on all the old bands? The useless ones are all the child prodigy(Justin Bieber) singers that are running rampant over the music industry. Also the 3-4 singers/bands that Disney cranks out every few years(Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, etc) make things worse.

Out of those, AC/DC. Not on the list, either Muse or Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd has made some great albums (DSotM, WYWH, Animals), but they also had a ton of mediocre stuff as well. As for Muse I just don't like them. Their "Creep" song is pretty annoying. [editline]06:51PM[/editline] Related to the poll: AC/DC is one of my favorite bands, but I think their lyrics are garbage. They don't even make sense half the time. And if they kept making albums like back in black and for those aobut to rock, I would say their not overrated, but they really fucked up in mid-late 80's. So my vote goes to them.

The Beatles. I respected them even though I didn't like their music that much, but then I realized there was way better music from their time period.

All of the artists are legendary. If i had to, it would be ACDC. but still all this 'bandwagon' nonsense.... Seriously, thats a bullshit statement. I honestly didnt care much for the beatles when i first listened to them, however i knew they were legendary and got to learning WHY they were. Rock fans should look down in shame if they say The Beatles are overrated or shit. I cant understand that hate at all.

CCR is awesome man. AC/DC and Black Sabbath. Also Beatles, but they're allright. But if i ignore the poll, Lady gaga, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida and just about every rap artist. What the fuck man?
