It's a linksys WRT54gs router, and I can't access 192.168.1.1 to change any settings, I also couldn't ping it. What does this mean and how can I fix it?
There are several other people living in my house that use the internet a shitton, I'd rather not try something that could fuck over the router.

There's only a risk of fucking it up for non linksys devices.
Try the soft reset of 30 seconds, and if that doesn't work, then do the hard reset of 30/30/30
I have done that stuff. It doesn't fuck up anything.
It says it restores it to factory settings/default settings, what all would I have to change back if I do use that 30/30/30 thing?

Its going to be like its new out of the box with no settings, so admin password, wireless information, any kind of port forwarding, etc.
And also SSID and network key (the most crucial ones I'd say)
Unplug the power then plug it back in.
Hold reset for a wile it'll reset to factory settings.
