I seem to be having a slight problem with my '360, It's saying it "cannot read" my copy of Modern Warfare 2, Even though this disk literally doesent have a scratch on it.
I've gone to the Support Line people, they gave me a bunch of crap about "checking the disk for damage" or "install the game to the hard-drive" even though the game can't be installed if it, yet again, cannot be "read".
Could it be the laser-reader? its happened before with a previous Xbox, and that was the problem. If so, what are the best ways to rectify a faulty reader?
Also, the game loads Single player, Spec Ops, and the menus of Multiplayer, but when the countdown timer ends, it just goes to "Waiting...", it won't let me leave that menu, and the game freezes but the background keeps moving.
If it can read other games the drive is fine and MW2 is fucked, OR your xbox is going to die, I remember this problem too and I needed to punch above the drive to make shit work.
