This device has been bugging me, every night, when I'm trying to sleep, somebody always turns on this light, and I'm having trouble to sleep because of it. Due to situations outside of my control, it's inevitable that it's light reaches me. But if I just "disappear it" it will get replaced.
So if I make it unfunctional, nobody will bother to replace it and leave it there for the years to come, at least that's I'm hoping for.
I need to return it to it's place, but make it unfunctional, breaking it is not an option. Here is a picture.

What changes between it disappearing and not functioning? If someone is going to put a new one in it's place, why wouldn't the do the same if it stopped working?
Anyway, you'd have to open it, which will be pretty hard without smashing the glass, so maybe you could get some liquid (small amount, so it's not visible from the outside) into it but I'm not sure what liquid would give the desired effect.
I was thinking about wraping some duct tape near the plug. Nothing dangerous right?

That all the blame will go on me if I disappear it.
I want to smash it so badly, there is a hammer near... I might considere breaking it just a bit, if there is no other options.

That could work, but if someone takes it out for any reason they'll see it.
Just shake it until something happens.
Way too much effort.
Plus, when somebody does notice it's not working, they'll know somebody was fucking with it.
It's my best chance, light bulbs every now and then stop working, nobody would be suspicious of me.
Also you could just find a non-visible way to stop the plugs from being conductive. Coating them in something could achieve that effect, but it might be dangerous.
Burn it, stomp it, bite it, hate it, join the dark side of the force and throw it out into space, then grind it to dust with one of saturns asteroids, then smoke it!
and there you go, good sir!
have a good one
That could work, but if someone takes it out for any reason they'll see it.
I thought about that, I might seal the thing where it goes, so it's impossible to take it out. Or very hard, they will easily give up, when they see it's not working.
Got a saw? Saw off the two plugs so it doesnt touch the metal (Incase it starts a fire) and get some double-sided sticky tape and place it in the rim of where it fits in, avoiding any part of the circuit.

I was thinking something like that too! Let me check if there is a saw somewhere.
poison the socket
I found this.

Looks dangerous, how do I use it?
Looks like a clamp. That'd only crush the lightbulb.
I feel the same about the pellet rifle idea.
uhm... mission failed. It's over, I'm sorry guys, I am fucked now.

It's a fucking lightbulb they aren't going to send you to prison for it christ woman
Why did you clamp your light bulb?
Crush it while its in the socket. They won't be able to remove it (Answer? Because either they won't be able to grip the socket OR it will be partially intact and glass will be sticking out) and if they turn it on, the filament will melt.
Happy vandalism
oh man you broke a lightbulb, you're fucked
Why don't you try and puncture the glass and the filament with a red-hot needle? It should be too small to notice.
Guys, that thing he posted isn't a clamp, it's a copper pipe cutter. (lol CP cutter) I guess he was thinking of cutting off a portion?
Plant a big bag of coke on him and call the cops.
You won't have to deal with him for a few years atleast.
Murderer!
Were you guys really helping this guy plan an assassination attempt on a lightbulb? We cold go to jail if the cops find out we helped!
ohgodohgodohgod
i would just like to say to anybody from the FBI i had nothing to do with with one!
You're fucked.
No doubt about that.
.....how the hell would you get in trouble for breaking a lightbulb?
just buy them a new one and tell them to turn it off at night and from now on they probably will....and think you're some sorta of anti-lightbulb psychopath
