Which computer is better? (just tell me 1 or 2. THAT, or show me a computer that's better than both that I can just go out and buy. Don't tell me to build one, please)

or
2. http://www.ultimateelectronics.com/product.php?id=HEWP6310F
Both of them should be able to run Gmod and look good, because according to my girlfriend, these 2 are better than her laptop, which can run Gmod.
I plan on having the entire Orange Box on there, plus L4D 1 and 2 along with Supreme Commander 2.
Build one, you'll be able to do much better with a custom build than a prebuilt.
If you have arms and can read, you can build a computer.
Also the second one is better, but it looks like it has integrated graphics so it won't perform well for gaming.
Games won't look good on integrated graphics
Build one GATDAMNIT
I'm not going to be playing games like Crysis, and the computer's specs are within the in between area of recommended and ideal system requirements for Half Life 2 episode 2.
Also, does building a computer mean waiting for it to arrive by mail?
Games won't look good on integrated graphics
The computers my friends have are with integrated. Looks fine to me.
Please, build it instead.
Prebuilts are a huge ripoff in terms of preformance and price.
The one with the quad core isnt badly priced, it probably has a shitty mobo and PSU though
Build.

After looking up many customer reviews, its a "great deal for that price". The guy who said that professionally builds computers as a hobby, and said when "building" a computer, it cost over a thousand. Now, I'm not going to argue with you, I already know I'm going to buy this computer. Again, I'm not trying to run Crysis or build an advanced AI, I just want to play the games I paid for before they got update to where my computer can't run them. Know what the specs on my computer are? This:

I'm going to hurt you....
... Emotionally.
Look if he WANTS to buy a computer let him for christ sakes, he's only going to be playing TF2 and shit like that
If you dont mind spending the extra bucks get the second one but i wouldnt recommend getting HP.
Get this if u can

I like how OP thinks that because he doesn't want to play one game it means he shouldn't try to get the most out of your money
The guy who said that professionally builds computers as a hobby, and said when "building" a computer, it cost over a thousand.
and clearly you don't understand that you buy parts separately, e.g you're not paying a set cost
they say ignorance is bliss
--
The OP should remind himself that this is a PC Building forum, a place where you are bound to find PC builders, PC builders whose primary reason for building PCs is the incompetence displayed by the prebuilt PC industry.
they say ignorance is bliss
Same to ALL of you. When someone asks you NOT to do something and you go ahead and do it anyway, you're not being helpful, you're being an ass.
I DON'T need the most for my money, I just want something that's as good as or better than my girlfriend's laptop, which this so happens to be.
Hey i helped you mate :)
Are you American or Canadian? If you are check out Newegg. And since you are just playing Source games you could get a PC that is around $400 USD.
When someone asks you NOT to do something and you go ahead and do it anyway, you disagree with them

fix'd
Try building one OP. It saves tons of money.
Assembling is easy as piss, takes someone new to it an hour (Excluding the OS), take a look here :
-snipped-
And those PCs you gave us are shit for playing game, integrated graphics can't do shit, and generally branded PCs are horrible, go try and replace a motherboard for it when it breaks down (Probably will), most of the cables barely fit in the new mobo, and not even talking about the PSU, those brands (HP/Dell/etc.) generally save money on the PSU, winch is a horrible thing to do, a crappy PSU can blow up your entire build.
Look he doesnt want to fucking build his own so let him jezuz
This is the PC Building section, all the answers are going to be "Build one."
You should build one anyway.
Then you are not looking for a system that'll run games that look good; you're looking for a system that runs it at or below minimal settings.

don't recommend that site
gives out viruses when you visit
dunno whether it's an ad or the site itself or if it was hijacked or what but stop using it
OP came here for help.
We're helping him.
Build.
You will see a massive difference with a good computer that can run those games on high settings rather then a cheap HP which can barely handle minimum.
If you really don't want to take the 2 hours to learn how to build a computer for cheap. You could take the parts we recommend to a local computer shop and they'll assemble it for you for a fee. You can get a really nice computer, and not have to pay a company to prebuild it for you.

Removed the link.

:byodood:
Ok, here's something. My current computer is ABSOLUTELY not for games. But guess what? I play games on them anyway. Played Gmod on this one before the update. Guess what? Worked alright, didn't look great, but I could still play it. This computer has NEVER given me problems. Integrated and all. SO, THANK YOU Derlicious for answering me the correct way.
The computer I'm getting is better than my girlfriend's laptop, which was built, according to her. I'm NOT looking for a gaming computer, I'm looking for a computer in which I can play the games I already have, from time to time.
END. DEAD THREAD IS DEAD.

oh god so much wrong
A) the performance of a computer is not based entirely on what label it has
B) you can't "build" laptops, well you can but they're overpriced and 99% of people don't do it
okay actually I can't be arsed because you're clearly just another stubborn dumbass who likes to waste our time
"I'm looking to buy one of these 2 apples"
"Why don't you plant an apple tree, you'll have plenty of apples"
That's pretty much what happened. I don't want a lot of apples, I want ONE.

Your analogy is wrong
Your analogy is wrong
There's nothing wrong with it.
me-"I want one of these 2 apples. Which one is better?"
"Plant an apple tree, then you'll get more for your money"
me-"Umm, no, which one of these apples are better, I just want one"
"PLANT AN APPLE TREE, YOU'RE SO STUPID, GAWD!"
guy-"The second one is better"
me-"Thanks." *buys apple*
You get it? No? Well, too bad.
you're looking for a system that runs it at or below minimal settings.
The specs for this computer are IN BETWEEN "Recommended" and "Ideal". I played Gmod on a computer similar to the one I'm buying. IT. WORKS.

Hamster's right, your analogy makes no sense in context to this thread. Here is a more accurate one:
You: "I like applesauce and I want to buy one of these two overpriced shitty brands of apple sauce."
Us: "You know, if you just buy apples, it's really easy to make applesauce that's a whole lot cheaper, and you can customize it to exactly how you like to eat your applesauce, like how much sugar to use and how tart the apples taste."
You: "No, you guys suck, I'd much rather buy some shitty overpriced store applesauce because if I made it myself it would be too much work and I don't want tasty, cheap, and rewarding to make applesauce."
