All of the videos started playing automatically at the same time.
The sudden loud mix of noises spooked me more than these games did.
Note how many of these mods are made for games in the Half-Life series like damn
Ooh, They Hunger. Spooked me a lot when I was a kid.
I loved Underhell, despite its flaws, I never really felt safe and pretty much the whole experience up until you made contact with the PMC was genuinely creepy. Add to the fact that it's longer than most Triple AAA titles nowadays and it's a damned impressive project. And the House is hands down terrifying.
Underhell is great. If you like F.E.A.R., you'll love it.
Afraid of Monsters is pretty shitty with some hindsight. Cry of Fear, despite being visually amazing and having some great ideas, ultimately fell flat for me. Both games rely WAY too much on cheap jump scares, loud noises and twitchy animations.

Underhell is one of the only games that made me want to go back to fighting human enemies.
Would have probably better to post this before October 31st.

It didn't scare me as much as it pissed me off, should I go back or does the rest of the game have cheap jumpscares throughout?
All of the videos started playing automatically at the same time.
That was the biggest horror of them. So annoying.
You can't even play AoM:DC anymore. Cocyx took the servers down and never let anyone else host them.
Cocyx is not the AoM developer, he ported the AoM:DC release to sven. See here for the actual release [editline]2nd November 2014[/editline] And here for the original
I know of those ones already. I was referring to his SVEN port.
I know of those ones already. I was referring to his SVEN port.
It is a bit of a shame I agree. I had admin on the aom:dc servers for a bit and can confirm that cocyx was a bit of a douche.

But Afraid of Monsters: DC is a genuinely good mod and has legit horror besides the use of blatant jump scares sometimes. There are actually a lot of subtle shit people don't notice at first in AoF DC like the weird shadows that appear for a split second and other shit like that. This was before the whole spike and barley thing too, so there was no annoying SnB fans to piss him off, he was just a dick and banned people for no reason.
I really hope Paranoia gets a sequel or something one day. The ending lacks so much closure.

It doesn't really help that the guy behind it freaked out and said that the models of his characters in GMod were ruining his game.

He's still working at DICE I think. deserves it, talented dude, just extremely edgy. And like, I fucking hate it when people throw the word edgy around at everything these days, but he is legit like over dramatic about shit and has this too dark 4 u attitude, at least from what I could gather from the forums and his youtube videos he had.
His name's ruMpel on the internet, if you're interested. I also sort of remember him claiming that Grey was a CoF ripoff or something and banned anybody who mentioned it on his forums, but I can't find any evidence, so it might just be a deluded memory.
Underhell is great. If you like F.E.A.R., you'll love it.
As somebody who thinks that F.E.A.R. 1 is the greatest first person shooter ever, I will be checking it out.
