So me and my friend built this brand new computer and everything appears to be in order, until we put in the disc and the computer wont read it, and constantly goes on a black screen, and eventually a disc read error. What did we do wrong? If it helps, my friend accidently selected an option to "boot from SATA" or something (wasn't really able to read it...) but is there anyway to fix this so the computer reads the OS disc?! My friends first build and he's pretty sad. Help fast would be appriectiated
Go to the BIOS and select the DVD drive as the first bootable device.
Your bootorder should be:
1) DVD/USB
2) DVD/USB (Whichever you didn't do for the first.)
3) Hard Drive
