If that fails backup steamapps folder and reinstall.

I have a game called payday: the heist, and i think that if you reinstall, you will lose your progress.

Then backup the saves, if you know where they are (don't know much about Payday but it should have saved somewhere, probably in Documents/My Games). You've tried all the usual stuff? restarted your computer/deleted .blob files etc?

The savegames are somewhere on steam cloud

Just checked the steam forums, [b]LOTS[/b] of players have this problem.

you know what time it is over here in Washington state? 2:30 am - im haveing problems too its going to probably take a half a day to fix it

NOTE: I think i've fixed it now.
All i did was delete my STEAMapps folder.
Something must have been corrupt and starting to fuck up my steam files.
