bsod on startup

hey guys

so i was playing a game and out of nowhere I get a bsod
this has happened 2 days in a row now, except this time the computer wont even enter the os

I start the computer and i get the safe mode option and the the start normally option
if i hit safe mode it gets as far as "windows is loading files" and then i get a blue screen
if i hit start normally it loads the windows icons with the dots and then blue screens again

i cant even use my computer anymore and i have no idea how to fix this, please help

okay, i have no idea what happened. I looked up on google and it happened to some other people. Apparently it was a memory issue and I had to remove ram and try 1 piece at a time?

So i did that, tried using one slot of ram at a time, and all slots and all ram worked and it booted up fine each time. Now all four slots are being used and my pc works fine (so far)

It probably still means one of your memory sticks is damaged.
I've had the same problem before. Didn't boot. Took one stick out and it worked fine. Put the other one back and still worked fine but running memtest revealed that one stick was damaged.

Try running memtest for at least an hour or so just to check.
