But I have no idea how many fans I have, and I only have an Internal 250W (100-240V) power supply, any idea if this will work? Help is appreciated.
Specifications for the 6770 say that you need a 450 watt or more power supply. I'd assume this is a pre-built computer because of the lacking power supply, so if you could tell us the model of the computer, we can help you.
HP Pavillion p7 1074, the card requires 400W.
You might need a new power supply, then.
Most HP Desktop PCs contain ATX power supplies that are 6 inches (15.25 cm) x 5 inches (12.7 cm) x 3.25 inches (8.25 cm). If your PC has a standard ATX power supply, you can replace it with standard ATX power supplies sold by most electronic stores.
That's good. I don't know any good power supplies right now, since the last one I replaced was in 2007.
I'll try and find some reputable power supply manufacturers with cheap 500w+ power supplies for you.
I already found one right here. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Cooler+Master+-+eXtreme+Power+Plus+500-Watt+ATX+CPU+Power+Supply/1510585.p?skuId=1510585&id=1218265778423 May this work with my computer?
It should, because most PSUs are around the same size.
If you are going to buy the XFX 6770 at Best Buy, don't. Best Buy sells the 6770 for $170, and with that you could easily get a 6850 or a GTX 460, which outperform the 6770 by a mile, from Newegg.
Well too late... =( MY dad mail ordered it from them.
Well then return it then get it from newegg, that and Seasonic makes some really good PSUs.
