• So I'm plugging in my case fan

I think I might have a problem There are 2 cables on the fan, one has four pins, the other has four holes, the psu however doesn't have anything that would go into the one with the four holes, what am I supposed to do? Just leave the one with the holes open? [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] Also, I've got quite a few four hole cables left, should I just hide them or is that dangerous?
wouldn't you plug that one into the motherboard?
Can't find anything on the motherboard that would fit it. [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] I'm using a GA-970A-D3 Gigabyte Motherboard if that helps

Just plug it into one of them.

So what I'm left with, is connected to my fan, one input and one output 4 pin peripheral cable, the input connected to my PSU, the output just dangling there uselessly with nothing to connect to. There's also no CHA_FAN by the way, there's a PWR_FAN, but my case fan doesn't connect to it at all.
I'm guessing you mean a molex connector. They are just there to use in case you've run out of slots on your motherboard.
Your thread title sounds like the start to a really awful story.
