Sorry if this is a dumb question, i dont know too much about graphics cards. But how much better would a gtx 580 be then 2 radeon 5850s?

2 5850s consume more than a single 480, and a 580 is better than a 480, so yes.
I would wait to see the whole line up of new cards coming out

It'd be even better of an idea to wait out for war about to set out between the 6970/6950 and the 580/570. I wouldn't buy any graphics card before seeing benchmarks from all four of those cards, and possibly even from the 6990 and 595.
And the 560 if they make one. I'm really interested to see what they can do to one-up the value of the 460.
I have a thread all about the 580 and sli 460's. I was just about to order the 580 tonight, but I decided to wait and see what the 570 has to offer.

And its TDP is only 225W, which is pretty much right in between the 580 and 470. Expect GF110 to perform better with tessellation too.
So 570 not even worth it? I guess we'll have to wait and see. $360 isnt bad at all.

Which is bigger though? I was thinking of buying a 570 but I am unsure of the size of it encase it doesn't fit in my case.

probably but I would say Antec 200/300 or the 912
If I go with the 570 I get to keep the 6pin connectors I ordered, and it's just all around going to be able to play what I need at a decent price. I'm so curious to see how it marks against say SLI 460's though.

Sounds like a ricer, no offense.
I loved my antec 1200, but it got super dusty. The wood floors in my room held dust and it would build up regularly in the many fans in that case.
The Cooler Master HAF 912 is a great value if you like the way it looks. I built my brother's PC in it and the cable management is great.
