How fast do roaches grow? (and a few other questions)

So, I fucking hate roaches, and anyways, I keep my linens for my futon in my closet (I pretty much just cram them in there). Then last night, around 3, it was dark as hell a little bit of TV light in my room, and I saw something shiny on the bed and picked it up and it was a fucking living roach. So, I smashed the fuck out of it with one of my flip flops and threw it in the toilet.

Anyways, like 3 days ago I saw a baby cockroach around my desk area, I tried to kill it, but missed and lost it. It was about this long:

About 5 minutes ago, I found a small one on my wall near my window, I just beat the fuck out of it with some newspaper I had. It was about this long:

How fast can cockroaches grow? Could this be the cockroach I missed (hopefully, shit, now I'm paranoid)

How many offspring can they reproduce?

How the hell do I get rid of them? My room is almost always really clean, but I live in Florida, and there are always some in the back yard under any leaves or wet dirt.

They can be fully developed by a month when they first hatch from the egg.

Eww shit. Where do they usually plant their eggs? I swear to God I've had 3 in my room in the past 2 days, it's horrible. And I went out to the Garage to get a bottle of water and there were 2 sitting in the laundry room (right before the garage). The garage is just filled with them at night.

Should we gas it?

They like to hide, maybe inside a closet or behind your desk or bed. Very hard to find. You should fumigate the garage.

Fuck. It's like a pretty damn big 2 car garage. Plus they live out in the yard, not just our yard, but other peoples. I'm getting new furniture soon, so hopefully when I redecorate I can just move EVERYTHING out of the room and find / patch any areas they might be coming from. Plus my room is right next to the front door :/
