• How fast do roaches grow? (and a few other questions)

So, I fucking hate roaches, and anyways, I keep my linens for my futon in my closet (I pretty much just cram them in there). Then last night, around 3, it was dark as hell a little bit of TV light in my room, and I saw something shiny on the bed and picked it up and it was a fucking living roach. So, I smashed the fuck out of it with one of my flip flops and threw it in the toilet. Anyways, like 3 days ago I saw a baby cockroach around my desk area, I tried to kill it, but missed and lost it. It was about this long: <-----> About 5 minutes ago, I found a small one on my wall near my window, I just beat the fuck out of it with some newspaper I had. It was about this long: <-----------> How fast can cockroaches grow? Could this be the cockroach I missed (hopefully, shit, now I'm paranoid) How many offspring can they reproduce? How the hell do I get rid of them? My room is almost always really clean, but I live in Florida, and there are always some in the back yard under any leaves or wet dirt.
They can be fully developed by a month when they first hatch from the egg.

I swear to God I've had 3 in my room in the past 2 days, it's horrible. And I went out to the Garage to get a bottle of water and there were 2 sitting in the laundry room (right before the garage). The garage is just filled with them at night. Should we gas it?
They like to hide, maybe inside a closet or behind your desk or bed. Very hard to find. You should fumigate the garage.

Plus they live out in the yard, not just our yard, but other peoples. I'm getting new furniture soon, so hopefully when I redecorate I can just move EVERYTHING out of the room and find / patch any areas they might be coming from. Plus my room is right next to the front door :/ Alright, thank you.
