• What should I do for the science fair?

Alright so the school science fair is in like, 2 weeks. I can't for the life of my think of a project with a hypothesis, purpose, etc etc. I mean, I could do a sick project like make a real tornado in a controlled environment (ie: plexiglass), but what the fuck would the purpose me? To see if I can make a tornado? My hypothesis could be "I think I can make a tornado". So, the easiest I think is to compare 2 things. Like, which sunscreen is better or some shit. I was going to do that project, but I have to buy special beads off the internet. It's 26$ for 1000, 56$ for shipping (???). Anyone have any cool ideas? Much appreciated.
Mold growth under different conditions
One of my friends studied how video games make/don't make people violent or some shit, anyways he got to play video games in school :smug:
i did why do fingers prune. I got a 100 and won first place
Mold growth under different conditions
That could work, but how long does mold take to grow?
Grow a potato in a jar.
i did why do fingers prune. I got a 100 and won first place
I could imagine a hypothesis, but what was your purpose? To find out why fingers prune?
you should prove the 0=1, there is a formula for it
Show how females orgasm. And put in a video :smug:
you should prove the 0=1, there is a formula for it
Yeah, unless you want bottom marks for using a mathematical fallacy and minimum effort.
invent a machine that makes chewing gum out of belly button lint, you will deffinatly win, even if the gum tastes like shit.
you should prove the 0=1, there is a formula for it
Hmm, doesn't that make some sort of assumption/incorrect use of math in the last steps?
Hmm, doesn't that make some sort of assumption/incorrect use of math in the last steps?
It involves dividing by zero in an early stage.
x = y. Then x2 = xy. Subtract the same thing from both sides: x2 - y2 = xy - y2. Dividing by (x-y), obtain x + y = y. Since x = y, we see that 2 y = y. Thus 2 = 1, since we started with y nonzero. Subtracting 1 from both sides, 1 = 0.
see??
I could imagine a hypothesis, but what was your purpose? To find out why fingers prune?
yea and what effects it has on your fingers, etc
see??

Dividing by (x-y)
x = 5 so y = 5 (x-y) = (5-5) = 0 You can't divide by zero.
whatever... a better one would be working out the length of a piece of string :D Bring on the boxes!!
What about the effects of alcohol on your body, basically a scientific explanation on what being drunk is?
Create a teleportation device that breaks down solid matter into energy waves and transmits them through the air, to another device that rebuilds them. It'll probably give you a B- or so, but at least you have something.
ok, i'll be a bit serious now, what is your scientific knowledge like??
can't argue with the classic baking soda volcano.
show how babbies r made
Punch someone in the face and say i fucked him up bad thats scienc!
What about the effects of alcohol on your body, basically a scientific explanation on what being drunk is?
That's a decent idea.
Effects of different variations of high pitched sound waves on various animals. Observe and find similarities and differences.
What about the effects of weed on your body, basically a scientific explanation on what being high is?
Do this.
Cure cancer. That should get you at least 3rd place.
Whatever you do, steer clear of vertebrates. Last year when I had to do a science fair, mine dealt with birds and nothing ever added up. It was frustrating, to say the least.
Make a potato clock.
