Playing in Die Another Day. Fighting in North Korea while Icarus is activated. Oh my god I want this game.
The fact that this is coming to PC too, looks great, finally a seemingly great looking Bond game. I will buy this.
Shame that they have to put in such a horrid Bond film. Though, I suppose playing some of the sequences from Die Another Day could be fun?
WHY MUST THERE BE A RAIL ON THAT AK WHHHYYYY (relevance? It seems like this game is copying CoD on a lot of assets, (I posted a bunch of pictures a while back in the moonraker thread), and a AK with a top rail just adds another to that list.) other than that, mediocre film but it could be fun.
While the movie was not that good, I think the action sequences could make fun gameplay.
While the movie was not that good, I think the action sequences could make fun gameplay.
"I am Mr. Kil." "WELL THAT'S A NAME TO DIE FOR."

Really? God damn dude.
Because AK-47's with rail systems dont exist in real live and CoD invented it. Really? There is literally no other reason to do that other than looking similar to MW2/3 (if you can think of one apart from subjective aesthetics, enlighten me). I probably wouldn't care as much if the rest of the assets didn't share so much with CoD.
Buying this just for On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Buying this just for On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
They should do Octopussy :quagmire:

Are all the Pierce Brosnan movies in this game? Because Goldeneye had to be one of the best Bond movies ever.
Good god, it's a piece of metal. It's really not worth complaining about.
again, I wouldn't give 2 shits if the overall aesthetic wasn't simply "let's apply the cod formula to the bond movies" that's the vibe I'm currently getting. I feel the game could be so much better if they applied more traditional aesthetics that were true to the original movies, instead of "modernizing" it.
meh, ok, but is Bond not all about the 'cool formula'? It's got gadgets and puns, it's the furthest from realism you can get, personally a railed AK is exactly what I'd expect.
Bond is about cool gadgets and shit for bond, but not the enemies necessarily. If they gave bond a MP5K with collimator sight, sure it would fit. well bond also is about (in a lot of movies) the old soviet enemies and a railed AK doesn't really fit with your average soviet soldier. In fact, that's one of the key motifs of the movies, contrasting bond's suave and slick gear and manner with the coarse gear of his enemies. A railed AK simply doesn't have a "cold war" vibe. It actually is the combination of a western standard (the picatinny rail) with an eastern standard (the AK side rail). Truly a product of the 1990s. We didn't see railed AKs in goldeneye, and the game is called "legends" after all.
Here's hoping they bring in the best part of DaD, Miranda Frost.

It's a bond game, it has a gun that looks like an AK, you can shoot people with it. Nobody cares if the AK doesn't match with the one in real life. People like you are getting very annoying on this forum [editline]15th August 2012[/editline] This reminds me of Nightfire, which is awesome.

I'd prefer a game that's more like Blood Stone (which is basically Splinter Cell: Bond Edition), because Splinter Cell has more in common with Bond than CoD. the visual elements are good indication of what inspiration they're going to make the gameplay like, especially if you WATCH THE TRAILER.
The only thing I see that could be an issue is the distinct lack of gadgetry.

Why oh why does the main character have to be Daniel Craig? He's the new, re-imagined bond. I want to play as one of the original bonds.

Jesus christ, get over yourself.

sort of looks like cod doesn't it?

It looks like a bond game (btw, those missions seem to be highly influenced by the ones in Nightfire). Not every modern arcade FPS is a COD spinoff, quite the opposite actually. It has guns, explosions and movie-like shootouts, exactly what you'd except from a Bond game. And a COD game for that matter, doesn't mean one is a spinoff of the other. [editline]16th August 2012[/editline] -snip-
Some people are just a bit too entrenched in the "action movie-like game? SOUNDS LIKE COD TALK LET'S BURN IT!" mindset.
You're just some mac jerk who thinks every modern arcade FPS is a COD spinoff.
Let's not bring OS into this. Bad idea.
Let's not bring OS into this. Bad idea.
I bring OS (X) into my every argument. It's a powerful weapon. [editline]16th August 2012[/editline] You're right, I snipped it :v:
