Why does the Boss look like Booker from Bioshock with that getup on?
its starting to look a lot like saints row 3
Yeah man, freezing people with ice powers? I remember when that happened in SR3! I'm really getting sick of people fucking spouting this bullshit over and over again. Quit it.
"Hey, this looks like a cool game! You know what it needs? MORE WUB WUB WUB"
Say what you want, this game looks awesome
I lol'd at the dubstep gun, didn't expect that.
it's the exact same as SR3 with some shitty gimmicks added on
The superpowers give me a Prototype vibe.
I don't know if I will be able to play this game with all that dubstep in it :(
it's the exact same as SR3 with some shitty gimmicks added on
So it's like SR1 to SR2, right?
Yeah man, freezing people with ice powers? I remember when that happened in SR3! The running animations, execution animations, the graphics, literally everything besides the super powers looks like Saints Row 3. If your only justification for this game to exist is "super powers" than you should consider raising your standards. Especially when the super power concept was originally going to be a SR3 DLC but it got canceled and made into its own game.
it's the exact same as SR3 with some shitty gimmicks added on
I can't deny it looks very similar
When SR2 came out I thought it was slightly over the top. Now look at this stuff. This is just fundamentally different from SR1, quite a bit too over the top for me.
People act like SR2 looked TOTALLY DIFFERENT then SR1.
When SR2 came out I thought it was slightly over the top. Now look at this stuff. I love SR2's style of humor, but I enjoyed SR3 as well. I just accept that they are very different from each other.
You do know the core gameplay looks exactly the same, right? Man, who knew re-using the older game's engine saves money and allows you to spend more time on missions?
If your only justification for this game to exist is "super powers" than you should consider raising your standards. And yes, we know it was supposed to be a DLC. You guys do realize it was NEVER cancelled, right? THQ were the ones who decided to delay it and release it later as SR4. Deep Silver just bought it. And, hey, guess what? They used the extra time to further ADD TO THE GAME. You think they just let it die there? Its Volition's job. [editline]9th May 2013[/editline]
so lets add a grenade that makes people lock animation and overlay a material on them then when you hit them, they disappear and 3 debris retextures appear in place, as well as a particle innovation
You clearly did not watch the video and are just shitposting. Leave.
Nothing in this looks different from SR3 other than the super powers though... That's what I'm saying. This is basically L4D2 to L4D1, and we all know how that turned out.

I get it, but just know I'm going to debunk the other points you use as cannon fodder in order to bring down your actual point. There's nothing wrong with re-using an old engine if you're going to spend more time on making the game more fun to play. Saints Row 3 wasn't developed in much time and you could see it lacking quite a bit. They're doing the same thing they did with SR4 like they did with SR2. Hopefully that 2 year development time as been focused solely on missions and story. And furthermore, everyone is making assumptions based off nothing. All we've seen is 2 trailers and, JUST NOW, how some weapons and super powers work. How about waiting instead of jumping to conclusions?
No, it's a general consensus that L4D2 should've been DLC because other than modding, it doesn't supply anything that makes it worth being a whole new title. The only reason why anyone plays L4D2 over the other is because it has more variety and more support. L4D1 is by far the better game at its core.

Quit it.
From what I've seen in the video it seems to be mainly new weapons, cars, abilities, and enemies in the same city as SR3, which to me does not seem like a good base for a whole new game. It looks more like a DLC expansion pack than a whole new game to me.

SR3 -> SR4, built upon the same base and just thrown more content on it. But no one bitches about SR2 taking most assets from SR and being placed in the same city, oh no, that's fine, but when SR4 does it, it's a crying shame. Stop whining about things you don't mean. You're all outraged that they went more over the top instead of going back to the style of game SR2 was.
I remember getting a whole bunch of superpowers in a DLC for SR3.
You mean one. That you got to use for 15 minutes.
his clothes look like sr3
I wonder why.

They'll show us stuff in new time just like every fucking game dev does. Like holy fuck seriously.
I dont mind if its similar to sr3, because I really enjoyed that game
L4D2 is exactly the same as L4D1 but its CORE GAMEPLAY is better. What?
They're practically the same game, but L4D2 has more shit slapped on it and is less polished. L4D1 takes itself more seriously as a survival horror game and is more polished in every area, but lacks variety. If you were to make L4D1 and L4D2 into one game, you'd have the best formula for a L4D game. This is why I think SR4 should just be DLC.
