Male, 18 years old. How do I get cheap car insurance?
34 replies, posted
I have 1 years NCB and have a 1.4L engine.
Help me out please Facepunch.
Are there ways to manipulate the sites to make it cheaper?
lie?
Get a smaller engine or go for the lowest amount of cover.
I was 18 when I got my car insured, without any NCB, on a 1.2... cost just shy of 2k.
Putting my father on my insurance as a second driver brought it down a bit.
Aviva do the best insurance for young drivers that I could find.

They tried to insure me for about 5 grand... even with my dad's staff discount. Odd.

Peugeot 206.
For some reason I thought the title was going to say
"Male, 18 years old. How do I get a girlfriend?"
:v:
You can't. Its that simple.
1) Go on your parents insurance
2) Small engine
3) Get responsibility-insurance only (No idea what it's called in english, the one that only covers damage on others and not damage on your own car)
I'm 17 and looking for insurance also, I have a few friends that live on farms and can get stupidly cheap insurance with the NFU. (I'm talking 1.6 TDis and their insurance is about £500) You can still go with NFU Mutual if you don't live in a rural area and it's cheaper than most other places, just not £500 cheap.
You can't get a quote online though, I think you have to phone them.
Well, i'm on my parents insurance for the car i drive, and thats group 7 and costs an extra 800 a year i think, and i will be driving one year as of August 4th.

Yeh, i live on a farm and drive a 1.9TDi and the insurance is relativley cheap.
Put up your excess. The higher your excess the lower your actual insurance will be but if you have an accident then you'll have to pay out the excess first and then insurance will cover the rest.
The bigger your dick is, the lower your down-payment.
CONFUSED.COM?
The woman on the advert got her car insurnace for £140 cheaper!
Haha, you think you can get cheap car insurance at 18.
That's funny
You don't.
Cheapest way to do it most of the time is it get put on someone else's cover as a second driver

I try.
I'm looking for motorbike insurance, Male 17 years old.
The problem with being put on as second driver is you dont get to build up your own NCD.
At the moment I have a shitty 1.25L and the first year was £2000, second year was £1400, and this year was £600.
Lie
Yeah good luck with that.
Insured for £1500.
I get Insurance for 1000 euro on a 125cc motorbike.
